Below is a list of animals with the strongest bite force, measured based on the motor pressure of the teeth:
Crocodile (Crocodylidae): Crocodiles have the strongest bite force among all animals today. American alligators (Alligator mississippiensis) and African crocodiles (Crocodylus niloticus) are capable of biting with pressures up to 3,700 psi or more. To achieve such a deadly bite force, a crocodile needs to reach a length of about 7 meters and weigh 2 tons.
Great White Shark (Carcharodon carcharias):
Great white sharks have a very strong bite force, estimated at 3,600 psi, which is the strongest bite force among all shark species. Other shark species with smaller sizes will have weaker bite forces.
Tiger (Panthera tigris): Tigers have an estimated bite force of about 1,050 psi. Although not as strong as a crocodile or shark, the bite force of a tiger is still significant. They are excellent hunters, willing to chase for kilometers before finishing off water buffalo, deer, wild boar and many other large animals. A hungry tiger will be able to eat up to 27 kg of meat in one night.
Komodo Dragon (Varanus komodoensis): Komodo dragons have a strong bite force, estimated at about 600 psi. The Komodo dragon’s bite force is enhanced by using its large, sharp teeth to tear apart the flesh of its prey.
Lion (Panthera leo): Lions have a bite force of about 600 psi. Although not the animal with the strongest bite, the lion is still a formidable predator with sharp and powerful teeth. On the other hand, although they often hunt in groups, each lion is also equipped with powerful steps and jaws capable of taking down large animals even when fighting alone.
